Hurricane expert takes Gore to woodshed.

According to Associated PressAl Gore got something of an old fashioned swat on the behind at the recent National Hurricane Conference. The main lecture at the conference was given by Prof. William Gray, emeritus professor in the atmospheric science department at Colorado State University and someone considered the most accurate hurricane forecaster around.

Gray said that Gore is "one of those guys that preaches the end of the world type of things. I think he's doing a great disservice and he doesn't know what he's talking about." A spokeman for Gore said Gore couldn't comment because he was out emitting carbons on another one of his air flights.

AP says that Gray "believes a recent uptick in strong hurricanes (their words not his) is part of a multi-decade trend of alternating busy and slow periods related to ocean circulation patterns."

Now what ticks me off is that the mainstream media pulls the same bullshit everytime. Anytime a reputable scientist questions of the Church of Anthropogenic Warming they immediately pull in quotes from someone attacking the person for doing so. Yet, when they publish another alarmist article on warming they rarely "balance" it with a quote from a scientist who disagrees. Balance is only something they seek when the side they disagree with is getting an airing.
