The incredible flexibility of the Religious-Right.

It is astounding how the extreme Right-wingers at World Net Daily lie about situations in order to twist the facts in their direction. Take the case of a rather disturbed child on Youtube. Watch this video of the kid for an indication of the severity of his problems. In other videos, he is screaming at the screen and denouncing “friends” who slighted him in some way. My view is that this boy has mental problems.



The kid says he is anti-gay but the bulk of the comments on his site are from people slandering the kid for allegedly being gay. Here is a current sampling of the sort of hateful comments that people left in the last few minutes:

Those are the sort of bigoted, hateful comments that have been left on this screwed-up kid’s Youtube pages. But guess who World Net Daily blames for this? Yep, gay people. According to them: “When he addressed the issue of homosexual marriage, however, the backlash grew so furious and profane that even outspoken atheists on YouTube have come to ChristianU2ber's defense.”

There is no indication that people are attacking the kid because he’s anti-gay marriage, as WND (weird nutty dingbats) alleges. The vast bulk of the comments are extremely homophobic. In a more sophisticated format they would be WND columns. Yet WND falsely headlines:

This kid is getting bullied on Youtube, not by gays but by juveniles, perhaps some adults, who share the anti-gay attitudes of WND. This boy has problems; being a martyr over his Christian views on gay marriage is not the reason that people are calling him a “homo” and a “faggot.” On the other hand, this just exemplifies the rampant dishonesty that infests radicals at WND. Shame on them. Where the hell are this kid's parents? A few minutes worth of video viewing and it is clear this boy is troubled and needs some counseling and help. He is being picked on because he is strange—smacking yourself repeatedly in the face is not normal behavior. This is how juveniles tend to treat people who are different -- no doubt when this bigoted children grow up they will become bigoted adults, and cheer WND on with their campaign to attack people for being different. The kids attacking this child are just more juvenile versions of the writers at WND.
