Judge Napolitano on conservatives as socialists.
Watch the latest video at video.foxnews.com The more I see Judge Napolitano the more I like. He certainly does distinguish himself from conservatives very well. I found him a pleasant individual to deal with and I can't say I find much with which I disagree. He's obviously more into Constitutional issues than I am. My first commitment is liberty not the Constitution. Napolitano is much better here than a conservative like Thomas Sowell. I admire Sowell's intellectual abilities and think he has writtens some profound material. At the same time I find he has said absolutely ridiculous things and seemed to contradict his own basic values. I recently watched a clip of Sowell being asked the decision in the Prop 8 decision and his answer was atrocious. He basically dismissed the ruling on the basis of raw majoritarianism. He wanted to know why judges should rule on matters like this instead of allowing the "will of the majority" to prevail. Had this view of the funciton of judiciary dominated our society Mr. Sowell would be picking cotton, not teaching economics. Judges are supposed to protect rights and that includes protecting them from the tyranny of the majority.
