The kiss heard round the world.

We blogged a photo of Bush playing smoochy-face with Joe Lieberman and noted the detrimental effect this had on Lieberman's re-election campaign. We didn't know that Lieberman had denied that it happened. Hard to think he could get away with that since it was on national television. In truth he is no more responsibile for the kiss than Angela Merkel was responsible for Bush grabbing her from behind rather inappropriately. Of course the kiss did symbolize Bush's view of Lieberman and that is what sank Lieberman at the polls. Anyway, to remove all doubt, here is the kiss from several perspectives.
